Choosing a name for baby
With our daughter's birth fast approaching, we both started thinking about a name for her. This is a lot harder than it looks, there are a lot of potential names out there to pick from. Eventually I decided to write some scripting to assist with this, so here for you all is the baby name picker.The way it works is as follows: You enter your details on the system, with a unique Code so that you and your partner can find your individual scores easily. The script will fire a series of names at you, and you should rate the name according to how much you immediately instinctively like or disklike the name. Don't spend too long thinking about it, just go with your instincts. You will be asked to rate the same name several times.
Once you have entered enough of a sample set, you can show your own favourite names and, in addition, if your partner then does the same, you may look at some correlated figures with your and your partner's scores combined.
